School Maestro III Downloads - version 3.061.000:
School Maestro III will run on any platform that supports the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0. This includes Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
There are four different downloads available. When asked if you want to run or save the download to your hard disk, elect to SAVE the download on your hard disk. All setups will automatically download and install the .NET Framework if it is not currently installed. The .NET Framework may also be installed from Windows Update. The single user setup and server setup downloads will also download and install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express if it is not currently installed. Anyone that wants to try the fully functional shareware copy (single
users or future network users) should download the single user setup
program. Existing single users that want to upgrade to the current version
should also download the single user setup program.
Network users that want to setup the file/database server should
download the server setup for network use setup program. This setup
is also for existing network users that want to shift to SQL Server
2008 R2 Express.
Network users that want to setup a workstation should download the
workstation setup for network use setup program.
Network users that want to install the School Maestro III program
on a computer instead of loading it from a file server should download
the program only setup for network use. The program can be installed
on a home computer and connect to the school database via the Internet.
This setup program may also be used by existing network users that want
to upgrade to the latest version without shifting to SQL Server Express.
SQL Server 2008 R2 Express is automatically installed by the above
setup programs when required. You may download it separately from
A simple database manager program is included with the server setup
for network use setup program. It may be used to backup and restore or detach and attach databases. It can also
setup an automatic daily backup Windows task. Alternatively, network
administrators can use the SQL Server Express Management Studio to maintain
their databases, create queries and stored procedures, manage accounts,
import and export data, etc. It may be downloaded from Microsoft.
