Pricing

| Single users may install and
run the program on multiple computers (home and school) and
can use the included backup and restore program to move their
database between locations. Alternatively, they can install
the program and database on a removable drive and move the drive
between computers. |

Network Pricing

| For Network users School Maestro III has
two pricing models depending on whether you host your own database
or host it on a Russ & Ryan EdWare server. If you do your own
database hosting (recommended), you may also host your own Internet
reporting, emailing, and web browser interface. There are no
annual charges if you do your own hosting. There is an annual
charge if the database is hosted on a Russ & Ryan EdWare server.
This includes Internet reporting for parents, emailing for teachers,
and a web browser interface for teachers. If you host the database,
6 months of Internet reporting for parents, emailing for teachers,
and a web browser interface for teachers (in addition to the
Windows version) are included. There is then an optional annual
charge for Internet reporting, emailing, and a web browser interface. |

For an annual fee Russ & Ryan EdWare will host your database
on their high speed servers, will maintain it, perform daily
backups, will provide Internet reporting for your parents and
students, will provide emailing for teachers, and will provide
a web interface that teachers may use from any location without
having to install the Windows version of the program. Typically,
teachers would use the web interface at home and would use the
Windows version (usually loaded from a file server) at school.
If you need to add additional users in the future, you can add
at the current per user pricing. |

Each school would typically keep their data in a separate database.
If you have two databases, each with 100 users, you need two
100 user licenses, not a single 200 user license. |

If you do your own database
hosting, SQL Server 2005 Express is included. It will
typically support up to 100 users. The exact number depends
on your usage patterns, network speed, and server and may be
higher or lower. If you host your own database and need to support
a larger number of users Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005 may
be required. |

Internet Reporting/Emailing
Extension: If you host your own database (includes
single and network users), School Maestro III includes 6 months
of free Internet reporting and parent/student emailing for each
user via a Russ & Ryan EdWare server. There is then a $5 per
teacher per year bandwidth charge payable in advance. Internet
reporting and emailing are included if your database is hosted
by Russ & Ryan EdWare. |

Web Browser Interface
Extension: For network users that host their own database,
School Maestro III includes 6 months of a web browser interface
for each user via a Russ & Ryan EdWare server (requires that
the school database server be accessible from a Russ & Ryan
EdWare server). There is then a $3 per teacher per year bandwidth
charge payable in advance. The web browser interface is included
if your database is hosted by Russ & Ryan EdWare. |

Internet Reporting,
Emailing and Web Browser Interface Software: Network
users that host their own database, can also host their Internet
reports, parent/student email, and web browser interface on
their own web server. There is a one time cost for the software
to do this (requires a Win2K or Win2003 web server with a digital
certificate for doing secure SSL connections). Internet reporting,
emailing, and web browser interface software - $400 setup +
$8 per user (no annual charge) |
